What do you get when you cross a Dr Dre track (LOLO) with the home of the Bathurst 1000 (BX)? Hint: it’s not a mullet sporting Commodore driver smoking weed everyday.
Born and bred in the country town of Bathurst Australia, LOLO BX (Brett Foran) grew up on Hiphop, Punk and Metal. He breathes music and has spent a good portion of his life creating it in one form or another. With online plays in the hundreds of thousands, Triple J rotation, and support from taste makers such as Triple J Unearthed, NEST HQ, Trap & Bass, Pilerats and Stoney Roads, he continues to make waves both locally and internationally with his enriched cocktail blend of Melodic Bass Music.
2016 saw LOLO take on remix duties for label powerhouses Mad Decent, Ministry of Sound, and the prestigious Aussie crew Sweat It Out, with whom he also inked a deal of his own for the release of his debut EP ‘Parallels’. The 5 tracker was followed up with a 12-date Australian tour, which saw him throwing down in clubs all over the country.
Between official remixes, original releases and touring, he’s also managed to stay true to his roots with a fist full of sub-heavy bootleg remixes which look to take us into the new year where we’ll no doubt see and hear a lot from the young lad from Bathurst.
